Frequently asked questions

Isn't a well-cleaned surface free of germs?

Proper cleaning removes most of the germs and makes the surface mostly clean. However, the surfaces used for food preparation and the surfaces around the toilet need to be absolutely clean. Proper cleaning followed by proper use of a disinfectant is much safer. Disinfecting the surface means that the germs have been killed and not only transferred to the cleaning pad.

Do I need to wipe off a surface after disinfecting?

Not usually. Be sure to follow the label guidelines on the product used. The recommendation is to rinse the surface and let it air dry.

Where in the home is it most important to use a disinfectant cleaner?

Areas of food preparation should be disinfected on a daily basis and moist surfaces such as sinks, toilets should be cleaned every few days.
